Honoring Your Motherhood, Healing Generational Patterns
Generational Healing while Honoring Your Feelings
Ep. 24 Honor Your Motherhood
We talk about motherhood, generational patterns, family dynamics, self-care, taking up space, and what it means to honor what you need and what you’re feeling.
Allison Ly, LCSW, Faith-Ann Young and Sara Stanizai, LMFT share about how they honor their own experiences at the Honor Your Feelings Fest hosted by Asian Mental Health Project.
This was the Honor Your Motherhood Panel.
And even if you’re not a mother or a parent, the topics we discuss still applies.
We talk about:
How to create space for yourself
What it means to feel your feelings
Generational patterns and inherited dynamics
The pressure to care for everyone
The Repay Cycle
What we owe to our parents, children, and ourselves
What self-care looks like in daily life
What we choose to keep and what we choose to leave behind
Take some time to honor yourself, however that looks for you, as you listen.
